Portable Hard Drive Case August 24, 2010 Richard G. Polak WD missed the boat on this one. I researched this on the WD website and it stated that this case was for my model hard drive. It is too small. If you force it and realey stretch the zipper you can make it fit but I don't understand why it would be manufactured this way. NOT SATISFIED!!
Doesn't fit the WD external hard-drive August 20, 2010 E. Stands I know, I know - a previous reviewer warned potential buyers to check the measurements. I did, but obviously didn't do so very well. The case is well constructed and attractive. It just seems rather nonsensical that a WD Passport external hard drive case is too small to hold my WD Passport external hard drive.
Wished I'd bought a couple more August 20, 2010 Sunny NC This is one nice case protector. I wished I'd bought more to give out as gifts.
This fits my WD 320GB very snug and it looks professional.
Does NOT Fit Good August 9, 2010 ramblintech This case doesn't fit a Western Digital Passport very good that I bought from a year ago.
You would think that with a Western Digital label, it would fit okay.
You can force the Drive in the case even though you can see it's not a good fit. Also, it won't give you any padded protection on the edges of the Drive (the perimeter). I guess it will protect it a little bit, but who wants to fight with a case for their portable drive only to have to forcefully Ram it in the case every time you use it? I prefer not to use the case, I guess more junk for the closet or the trash.
My Passport did fit in a Case made by Caselogic, but there was too much room for the drive to float around in that one.
Horrible in that this case is actually made by Western Digital? Are they for real?
cool product July 26, 2010 Taz Love it..
Looks cool, solid structure, comfortable internal setup for my HDD :) and has a small pocket for the USB cable...
Worst thing about it, is when you open it, you have to be extremely careful because there's a 50% probability that the HDD will just slip and drop on the ground (so far I caught it, will keep you updated when I break my HDD).
This mess could've been solved with any kind of holder that you place over the HDD after you put it, like a clip or a rubber holder...
Nonetheless love the product, and even if I knew this drawback, I would've bought it
